GERMAN GEOMETRIC HERTEL PITCHER AND PLATE

black rough-glazed surface with geometric colored highlights. pitcher 9 3/4 inches tall and oval dish 11 3/4 inches long. marked on bottom. plate has holes at either end, for hanging or for handles. Hertel pottery of Remscheid, plate has a hallmark engraved on the back and the pitcher has the incised hallmark as well as the Hertel foil label.

GERMAN AIRBRUSHED CUBIST TEAPOT - CARSTENS

Teapot circa 1930's with a finial top has subtle airbrushed decoration in brown. The bottom is stamped "Carstens" with a shield mark and the word "Grafenrode. "Light age crazing, not readily visible on the exterior, but can be seen on the interior and the bottom. Height 6 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches from handle to spout.

VILLEROY & BOCH ART POTTERY VASE

Flared textured art pottery vase from a venerable European studio. Subtly glazed in shades of blue, green and brown. Marked on the bottom V&B Luxembourg with the number 314, measures 4 3/4 across the top and is about 5 4 3/4 in height. The inside and outside are glazed with a similar, rough-textured, pebbly matte glaze, while the rim reveals a small perimeter of glossy brown drippy glaze beneath. Excellent condition.
